RAVALNATH TEMPLE, OROS

This temple is situated at Oros-the Capital town of Sindhudurg district, along Bombay-Goa National Highway (NH 17). It is believed to be ever-awakened chieg Deity of the locality. The traditional architecture of the temple is grand and spacious. There are stone-carved idols of God Ravalanath and other deities such as "Baracha Purvas", Nit-Avanit, Goddess pawanai – Kalabai etc. The Temple is a holy place of faith of whole district and has a history of 150 years. Annual fair of this temple is held in a pompous way, with great zeal. The temple-premises, decorated with garden, children's park and other features add to the beauteous surrounding of the temple.

DATA TEMPLE, MANGAON

This temple was established as a place of devotion by Tembye Swami, the respected Spiritual Sage and devotee of God Datta. As per folk-belief Tembye Swami had seen a dream in which lord Datta himself asked him to go on a pilgrimage to sacred village, named Nrusinhawadi near Sangli from where he brought a brass idol of Datta and got it reinstated at Mangaon. Later on periodic restoration ceremony of the temple was performed with deep devotion. This temple is a renowned, holy place where spiritully inspiring atmosphere prevails for ever.

RANGANGAD : THE FORT OF HISTPRICAL SGNIFICANCE, NARUR

This fort is located at village Narur, amidst the Sahyadri Mountain-ranges between the borders of Kolhapur and Sindhudurg Districts. The sight of the fort is at the height of 2600 ft.from sea-level. Chhatrapati King Shivaji had captured it in 1659 AO. It is one of the 15 fort originally built by King Bhoja belonging to Shilahar Dynasty. There is two entry-gates big and small. From Kudal there are five foot ways leading to the fort. There is the temple of Goddess Mahalaxmi at the top of the fort. The historical significance as well as the natural beauty of Rangana Fort is a thing of attraction for visitors.

SHRINE OF VETERAN RAUL MAHARAJ-PINGULI

There is a temple of Raul Maharaj at a village Pinguli in Kudal Taluka. Respected Raul Maharaj was a godly person of Divine Power who relieved devotees from worries and distress. People had deep faith in his divine power. He went on moving from village. He breathed his last in 1985 when his disciple Shri. Anna Raul with the help of his other followers got this temple built as a memories of his holy being. The shrine surrounded by coconut-grooves as well as many other small temples of Hanuman, Gourishankar, Shri Mauli, Shri Vitthal- Rukmini, Shri God Datta a lamp tower and so on.

Twin-forts 
MANOHAR GAD AND MANASANTOSH GAD

These twin –forts stand just near village Shivapur in Kudal Taluka. They are build amidst ranges ofs the Sahyadri mountain at the height of 2500 to 2700 ft. It was the place of Chatrapati Shivaji's residence for a while. Both the forts stand in the neighborhood of each other, a deep valley being between them. There are two approaches leading to the forts, one of them being very hazardous. One can reach the forts by other footway from Shirsinge village you may travel by Sawantwadi Shivapur direct S.T. bus the local residents guide you to reach these forts. There are evilly viewable hill station in Sawantwadi Taluka. The best season to see this fort mandamus area of drenched by heavy showers of rains and wrapped in green shawl.

Traditional Coconut Festival of Konkan.

The festival of offering coconuts to the seas is called a coconut to the seas is called a coconut-festival, which is very Peculiar to konkan. It is celebrated on the day of full Moon Night in the month of Shravana. (i.e. August to September) it is the festival of fisherman especially, as they earn their living by fishing in the sea, which is too stormy and excited to sail boats during Monsoon. The sea is becalmed in second half of the month of shravana. When it is not so risky to take boats into the sea. So fishermen and other people gather on the shore, worship God of the Sea, officer prayers for the safty of their lives, by performing religious rituals. This festival is celebrated by all the habitants of the coastal localities. It is the sign of the receding rainy season and of fair climate.
